FAQ
Question - answer
1. What is lightning protection?
Lightning protection is a set of technical measures and installations that ensure the safety of a building, the people inside it and their property. In simpler terms, lightning protection is a device that intercepts lightning strikes and conducts them into the ground.
2. Why is lightning protection necessary?
Essentially, this is protective equipment that protects the building's electrical network from power surges caused by direct and indirect lightning strikes. At the same time, internal lightning protection protects not only the building itself, but also communication lines or the area surrounding the building in the event of a lightning strike.
3. What is grounding?
Grounding is a connection between electrical equipment and the ground, which creates a neutral point. It is necessary to protect human life and health by transferring excess electrical current from the network to the ground.
4. How does protective earthing work?
Grounding is the process of connecting metal parts of electrical appliances to the ground. Those parts that may directly or indirectly pose a risk of electric shock if they become live due to a mini-short circuit are grounded.

Lightning protection

We offer the following services

  1. Turnkey design. Analysis of architecture and soil, development of lightning protection and grounding schemes, selection of materials. We take into account the electromagnetic environment and regulatory requirements.
  2. Installation of protection systems. Installation of rod, cable and mesh solutions. Installation of vertical electrodes, current conductors and lightning rods. We use only certified materials.
  3. Control and technical support. Checking connections, surge protection devices, visual and instrumental inspections, resistance diagnostics. Periodic maintenance according to schedule.
  4. Measurement and reporting. Conducting initial and control measurements. Compiling technical reports, assessing the performance of circuits and nodes.
  5. Coordination and documentation. Preparation of all project and measurement documentation. Preparation of materials for examination and submission of objects to regulatory authorities.
  1. IMG_256 How we work

  • We survey the site.
  • We develop a project.
  • We perform installation.
  • We connect protection.
  • We take measurements.

IMG_256Service and support

  • Work under a fixed-price contract
  • Post-installation support: maintenance, re-measurements, assistance with commissioning
  • Transparent reporting and documentation system

How the work is done: from the first call to the protocol

1. Application and initial contact

You submit an application or contact us directly. We clarify:

  • the type of facility
  • the location
  • the current stage of construction or operation
  • the need for design, installation or measurement

2. Site survey

Our specialist visits the site (or analyses the technical documentation) to:

  • assess the type of soil, access to the grounding point, building structure
  • determine the optimal locations for placing elements
  • check existing communications and potential risks

3. Design and calculation

We create a project taking into account the parameters according to the standards (PUE, DSTU, EN).

We take into account:

  • the depth of installation
  • grounding resistance
  • the type and number of electrodes, current leads, UZIP
  • the potential load on the system

4. Coordination with the customer

Before installation, we approve the project and estimate, explain the key points:

  • what materials will be used
  • what needs to be prepared on site
  • deadlines and control stages

5. Installation and commissioning of the system

The team performs the following work:

  • installation of grounding circuits (rods, strips, grids)
  • installation of current leads and lightning rods
  • connection to building circuits, shields, surge protection devices
  • corrosion protection, insulation, fastening inspection

6. Control measurements and tests

Using instruments, we:

  • measure grounding resistance
  • check the integrity of the circuit
  • test the operation of all sections

The results are recorded in the protocol.

7. Transfer of the object and documentation

We transfer:

  • the act of work performed
  • the technical report and measurement protocol
  • operating recommendations and maintenance schedule

8. Post-installation control

By agreement, we perform:

  • repeat measurements
  • visual inspections
  • documentation updates when changing the configuration of the facility or systems
